A Guarantee / Letter of Undertaking / Letter of Intent is a written document issued by Bank Windhoek on behalf of a client in favour of a third party (the beneficiary) for a specific amount. 

Bank Windhoek undertakes or promises the fulfillment of the client’s stated obligations towards the beneficiary after performance by the beneficiary. Such written agreements are normally issued against some form of security and may also be issued in terms of an established facility.

Bank Windhoek is remunerated with a guarantee fee/commission, payable by the client and calculated as a percentage of the amount of the guarantee, subject to a minimum charge.
