Confirmations
It is a definite undertaking of the confirming bank, in addition to that of the issuing bank, to honour or negotiate complying documents presented under the Letter of Credit.
Avalisations
It is a specific endorsement on a Bill of Exchange by a bank. By doing this, Bank Windhoek guarantees payment in the event that the drawee defaults on payment of the bill at maturity. |
