BANK WINDHOEK SCOOPS SIX PMR AWARDS

Bank Windhoek was recognised today with six PMR Awards at this year’s PMR. Africa Magazine’s Namibia Leaders and Achievers Awards, at a breakfast ceremony held at the Windhoek Country Club. The awards received by Bank Windhoek include one Golden Arrow Award, two Silver Arrow Awards and three Bronze Arrow Awards.

BANK WINDHOEK HOLDINGS LIMITED ANNOUNCES REVIEWED CONSOLIDATED INTERIM

Bank Windhoek Holdings Limited published its reviewed consolidated interim group results on 13 February 2015. The group continued to achieve sound performance for the half year ended 31 December 2014, reporting profit for the period of N$360.6m, an increase of 12.8% year-on-year. “This consistent growth and positive performance is a tribute to our loyal and expanding customer base as well continued commitment of our staff to our quest for superior customer service. The financial performance was further achieved through good revenue growth, disciplined expense management and effective credit management”, said Christo de Vries, Managing Director.

BANK WINDHOEK EMBRACES SOCIAL MEDIA

Bank Windhoek is actively embracing social media as the new tool to communicate and engage with clients and stakeholders. Bank Windhoek launched its Facebook page last year to provide up-to-date information on its events, products and services as well as tips on savings and fraud prevention. “The Bank Windhoek Facebook page has proven to be popular with our clients and also useful to us as we are able to learn from our clients on how we can improve on our products and service offerings”, said Riaan van Rooyen, Head: Corporate Communication and Social Investment at Bank Windhoek. The latest addition to Bank Windhoek’s social media platforms is the new LinkedIn page which was launched earlier this month.

KIDZ FUN FAIR AND FAMILY EXPO ENTERS A NEW ERA

Following a successful partnership of six years between Bank Windhoek and Limelight Marketing & Events on hosting the popular Annual Bank Windhoek Kidz Fun Fair and Family Expo, Bank Windhoek has announced that it has ended its sponsorship of the Expo and that the 2014 Bank Windhoek Kidz Fun Fair and Family Expo held on 31 October and 1 November 2014 was the last Expo with the Bank as the main sponsor. The decision to end the long-term sponsorship was made as a result of Bank Windhoek’s re-alignment of its sponsorship portfolio to support its vision, brand and business strategies. The Kidz Fun Fair and Family Expo, which is still Namibia’s only trade fair that provides education, fun and entertainment to the entire family, will continue with Limelight Marketing & Events as the founders and organisers.
