RESULTS OF RACE ONE OF THE BANK WINDHOEK NAMIBIA ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

The first race in the Bank Windhoek Namibia Motorsport Federation Enduro Championship Series 2012 took place on Saturday, 11 February at the Tony Rust race track outside Windhoek.  This event, which was also the first SORC (Southern Off-Road Challenge) event for the year, was co-sponsored by Propshaft Engineering.

ROUND ONE OF THE BANK WINDHOEK NAMIBIAN NATIONAL ENDURO SERIES TO KICK DUST AROUND TONY RUST RACE TRACK THIS SATURDAY

The first race in the Bank Windhoek Namibian National Enduro Series will take place at the Tony Rust race track this coming Saturday, 11 February 2012.  This event, co-sponsored by Propshaft Engineering, is also the first round of the FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme - International Motorcycling Federation) Africa Southern Off-Road Challenge (SORC).  Riders from Zambia, Botswana and South Africa will compete against their Namibian counterparts over rough and very rocky terrain. 

 
BANK WINDHOEK SCOOPS SEVEN PMR.AFRICA AWARDS

Bank Windhoek today received six Diamond Arrow Awards from the business magazine PMR.africa. in the following categories:

  • Business sector: banks in Namibia
  • Business sector: investment services in Namibia
  • Business sector: property valuers in Namibia
  • Companies/institutions doing most to promote arts and culture in Namibia
  • Companies/institutions held in high esteem as good corporate citizens in Namibia
  • Companies/institutions/NGO’s doing most to fight HIV/AIDS in Namibia

Furthermore, the Bank received a Golden Arrow Award in the category:

  • Companies/institutions doing most to enhance and promote sustainable development in Namibia
 
BANK WINDHOEK ARTS FESTIVAL LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE

The Bank Windhoek Arts Festival (BWAF) is back and this year, the art fraternity can look forward to a tapestry of exciting events. Amongst the new events, art lovers can look forward to   the new BWAF website. The new website has various features ranging from a media gallery, an art blog and an events calendar with updated events. Regular posts will be made on the art blog.
