Addressing the estate agents at a dinner event, Bank Windhoek's Managing Director, Baronice Hans said: “Despite the sluggish economic climate in general, there is a drive in all of us not only to survive, but to thrive. Owning a home is a clear indicator of stability not only for families but contributes to a level of confidence in the economy. The performance of estate agents in Namibia during this time speaks to resilience, adaptability and a knuckle-down attitude."
The Top Estate Agency Award in terms best total value in both residential and commercial properties was awarded to Yellowsqaure Properties Trust's Dickson Swanepoel who received the Gold Award. Hermanus Dreyer from Aqua Real Estate Trust and Elna Esterhuizen from Elna Esterhuizen Properties received the Silver and Bronze Awards respectively.
Aqua Real Estate Trust also won the Gold Award for Top Achiever in the commercial property category followed by Paul Kruger from Pam Golding Properties and Kestodia Tobias from Divine Realtors.
In the residential category, Horatius Abrahams from Immaculant Real Estate, received the top honour followed Elna Esterhuizen from Elna Esterhuizen Properties and Uripi Kahorongo from Sell Fast Real Estate & Auctions CC.
Abrahams also received recognition as the estate agent with the highest volume of transactions.
The Annual Bank Windhoek Estate Agent Awards aim to give recognition to residential and commercial estate agents, agencies and developers for their commitment, loyalty and support to Bank Windhoek and its customers.
