​Outgoing Payments​

All International Payments are made via SWIFT, a secure and reliable method of transferring funds internationally. Your business can use outgoing SWIFT transfers to pay for goods and services.

To make an outgoing SWIFT transfer directly from your business account, you need the following:

  • The beneficiary company name and a physical address.

  • The beneficiary account number or International Bank Account Number (IBAN)​ number and a valid SWIFT code.

  • The reason for payment.

  • Supporting documentation depends on the exchange control requirements.


Your business can launch the request directly from our Internet Banking (iBank).

Incoming Payments

Payments from overseas remitters, such as export proceeds, refunds for goods purchased or foreign loans, can be received via SWIFT.

To receive an incoming SWIFT transfer, you need to provide the remitter with the following:

  • Your name and physical address

  • Your Bank Windhoek account number and SWIFT code (BWLINANX)

  • Upon receiving the funds, we will contact you to obtain relevant documents and further instructions required to clear the funds and move it into your business account.​
