Bank Windhoek recently announced the appointment of Hermanus Grobler as Head of Commercial Banking within its Business Banking department, effective 1 March 2026. His responsibilities include driving portfolio growth, strengthening client relationships across key commercial segments, and delivering tailored, value-adding solutions to business clients.
He will also contribute to shaping and executing Bank Windhoek’s Business Banking strategy by leveraging market insights, sector knowledge and credit expertise to support clients’ growth ambitions, while maintaining strong governance and risk discipline.

About Grobler
Grobler holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The London School of Economics and Finance, complemented by advanced qualifications in Property Development and Real Estate Finance from the University of Cape Town. He has also completed extensive training in credit risk, Basel frameworks, trade finance and commercial property financing. He brings close to two decades of experience in banking and financial services, with expertise spanning business banking, commercial and corporate banking, strategic sectors and commercial property finance.
Before joining Bank Windhoek, Grobler held senior leadership roles in the Namibian banking sector, including Group Head of Corporate Banking, Head of Strategic Sectors and Head of Commercial Property Finance. Earlier in his career, he served in relationship management and credit leadership roles across Business and Corporate Banking, managing large, diverse client portfolios, structuring bespoke financial solutions, and supporting sustainable portfolio growth through disciplined risk management.
