The awards recognised dealerships and sales people in the automotive industry for their commitment, loyalty and support to Bank Windhoek and its customers during the previous financial year.

In the Used Vehicles Dealership Category Zeda Car Rental Namibia T/A Avis Car Sales received the top honour followed by Danlou Motors and Auto World Trade Centre.

Kobus Prins from Zeda Car Rental Namibia T/A Avis Car Sales was the ultimate winner in the Used Vehicles Salesperson of the Year category. Novel Motor Company Elrick de Wee and Danlou Motor's Willie Modler won the second and third prizes respectively.
“Bank Windhoek will remain committed to you in your endeavours to put Namibians into reliable, safe and the most modern vehicles out there. Having said this, I believe that there is always room for improvement. With this in mind, we have taken the initiative to develop and formalise a promotion that we will be sharing with you in the coming weeks. We are confident that this will entice an increase in sales and put Namibians in a position to upgrade to newer models of vehicles they currently own or switch to another brand completely, if they so wish," said Bank Windhoek's Head: Specialist Finance, Saara Shivute.
“We are on the cusp of massive change in so many areas of life – we are becoming increasingly digitised, customers have more choice, they are becoming less brand loyal and their spending habits have power in the marketplace. And as you in the motoring industry know all too well – as features in modern vehicles become more sophisticated – from safety to those “wow" additions – it all adds to making your industry increasingly competitive. We are experiencing the fourth Industrial Revolution and change is in the air. We need to embrace it, internalise it and move with it, said Bank Windhoek's Executive for Retail Banking Services, Chris Matthee.
“Change dictates that we move outside of our comfort zones, prioritise our clients, and keeping them actively engaged with our brands, as opposed to the years gone by where they casually walked through your showroom doors and pointed to the vehicle they wanted and Bank Windhoek financed it. Change requires collaboration to ensure that we remain relevant in our markets and sensitive to customer needs. Now more than ever, relationship has become the currency of business and journeying together with them at every stage of their lives. It's about knowing when your solutions are most relevant – that is when your brands add value and sales are most likely to happen."
“At Bank Windhoek we understand this and building relationships with our customers is key. We are committed to being a connector of positive change for you – our partners – and for our mutual customers who purchase from you," Matthee concluded.
