Bank Windhoek celebrates excellence at Central Estate Agent Awards

On Friday, 6 March 2026, Bank Windhoek hosted the Central Estate Agent Awards in Windhoek, recognising outstanding estate agents and agencies for excellence in property finance performance, transaction volumes and specialist categories across the central region.

Delivering the keynote address, Bank Windhoek Chief Financial Officer and Acting Executive Officer of Specialist Finance, Zenaune Kamberipa, said that Namibia's property market has shown measured but meaningful growth over the past year, with rising house prices, firm rental demand and continued resilience despite global and local pressures. However, he cautioned that affordability challenges, income pressures and unemployment continue to limit broader access to homeownership.

Kamberipa further revealed that, supported by strong collaboration with estate agents over the past financial year, Bank Windhoek recorded the strongest growth in property market share, an achievement he described as a shared success. Addressing industry challenges such as land delivery constraints, affordability pressures and the demand for well-located serviced land, he stressed that these issues require collective action across the sector. “Bank Windhoek remains ready to play its part in supporting solutions that expand access to housing while safeguarding long-term financial stability," he said.

Special addresses were also delivered by representatives of Dr Weder, Kruger & Haikali Inc., represented by Tshuka Luvindao, Managing Director and Andre Swanepoel, Managing Member, reaffirming the importance of collaboration from key stakeholders in facilitating sustainable property ownership.
