Bank Windhoek honours coastal vehicle dealerships and sales talent

Bank Windhoek hosted its annual Vehicle and Asset Finance Coastal Selekt Sales Awards 2025 in Walvis Bay, recognising outstanding dealership partners and top-performing sales professionals for their contribution to responsible vehicle finance growth along Namibia’s coast over the past financial year.

Hosted on Thursday, 12 March 2026, the event comes as Namibia’s auto market shows renewed momentum, with record vehicle sales in 2025, followed by 1,005 units sold in January 2026, up 4% year-on-year. Instalment and leasing credit expanded by 19.9% year-on-year, underscoring vehicle finance as a key contributor to credit growth and business activity.

“Behind almost every vehicle sold is a financing decision. Our role is to make that decision easier, faster and responsible, so customers can move forward while Namibia’s economy keeps moving too,” said Bank Windhoek’s Vehicle and Asset Finance Branch Manager, Amanda von Wielligh. “With a stable and leading market share, we are grateful for the partnership of our coastal dealerships and remain focused on accessibility, affordability and deepening local collaboration.”

Looking ahead, said von Wielligh, the Bank’s Vehicle and Asset Finance team will focus on expanding accessibility through smarter, faster processes and responsible innovation; strengthening affordability by helping customers understand the full cost of vehicle ownership to support sustainable borrowing; and deepening partnership with coastal dealerships so solutions reflect local realities and unlock opportunity.
