As part of its ongoing commitment to transparent communication and meaningful stakeholder engagement, Bank Windhoek recently visited The Namibian in Windhoek to strengthen relations with one of the country’s leading media institutions. The strategic engagement, held on Friday, 12 June 2026, reflects the Bank’s continued efforts to foster constructive partnerships with key media stakeholders and to deepen shared understanding of Namibia’s evolving communication landscape.
The engagement was led by Bank Windhoek's Executive Officer of Marketing and Corporate Communication Services, Jacquiline Pack, who outlined the Bank's strategic communication priorities, its role as a proudly Namibian financial institution, and its continued focus on building trusted relationships with stakeholders. She also reflected on the Bank's commitment to corporate social responsibility and the important work of the Marketing and Corporate Communication Services Department in strengthening the Bank's reputation and connection with communities.
During the visit, Pack, together with her Bank Windhoek delegation, formally congratulated Johnathan Beukes on his appointment as Editor of The Namibian. The Bank delegation also engaged with Chief Operations Officer Mark Kissler, Deputy Editor Shinovene Immanuel and Assistant News Editor Theresia Tjihenuna. Discussions offered valuable insight into the opportunities and challenges facing the media industry, including the need to strengthen sustainability, support informed public discourse and encourage a renewed reading culture, particularly among young Namibians.
The two institutions also explored opportunities for stronger collaboration in areas such as financial literacy, public education and nation-building communication. The conversation highlighted the important role both organisations play in shaping an informed, confident and future-focused Namibia, particularly at a time of promising national development prospects. Beukes thanked the Bank for the engagement and encouraged further dialogue to benefit Namibians.
Pack echoed that media organisations remain essential partners in building trust, promoting transparency and ensuring that accurate and timely information reaches the public. “As a proud Namibian bank, we value engagements such as these because they help strengthen
relationships, create shared understanding and support our collective responsibility to contribute meaningfully to Namibia’s progress.”
Pack concluded that as part of its ongoing media engagement strategy, Bank Windhoek will continue to strengthen relationships with key media stakeholders nationwide. These engagements, she said, are intended to support mutual growth, encourage meaningful collaboration and reinforce the Bank's role as a responsible corporate citizen committed to transparent and constructive communication.
