The participants who battled it out for bragging rights also had a chance to win a portion of the N$104,000 prize money. The event celebrated volleyball excellence and community spirit, bringing together players, coaches, and fans nationwide.
The Namibian Correctional Service emerged as the tournament winners in the Men's Division, making it their third consecutive victory in this competition, while the Namibian Defence Force (NDF)-Raptors took second place. Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts, and Culture, Dino Ballotti, officially opened the tournament. He thanked Bank Windhoek for investing in sports such as volleyball and said that the Government would also increase its investment in sports.
This year's tournament was made even more special by the participation of the Namibia boys' and girls' U/19 National team, which provided the young players with valuable exposure and experience at a senior competitive level.
The NVF President Tobias Mwatelulo said a diverse group of volleyball teams from across the country participated, reflecting the sport's growing interest and competitive spirit. “The event's competitiveness increased to the highest level, and the spectators had a whole pack of actions that kept them on their toes," he said. “Thanks to our sponsor Bank Windhoek, who has been partnering in volleyball for over 14 years, with a sponsorship which has accumulated to four million Namibian Dollars."
